Finally managed to get time and get I t off today, what a mess, couldn't stop the flow so drained the reservoir all over the footwell!! :(

Anyway the cylinder and piston look good, seals look ok but are prob thin, I've not seen new ones so wouldn't know!!

Fair bit if gunk in the barrel so I will give it all a clean and replace all the seals and see if that works!,

Any tips?... :ok

If it were me, I'd clean up a few times but just monitor level in reservoir every day. Providing it doesn't drop and the leaks stop, you should be fine.

As suggested earlier, when the brake pistons were cleaned maybe some brake fluid overflowed from the reservoir and is now sitting behind the dash in little pools on the many horizontal surfaces there are behind there, and slowly making it's way down, or it has soaked the fabric covered pipe that feeds the clutch master cylinder and it is this fuid that is now gently seeping out of the fabric and appearing on the master cylinder.

Whilst you have got the master cylinder off I would check your hydraulic clutch pipe under the van. Mine was slightly rusty and so I replaced it when I did my brake lines. It is not the same size as brake pipe though. You are going to have to bleed your whole hydraulic system now anyway so it would be a good time to replace any dodgy bits of brake/ clutch pipe that you may have.
