Hi Everyone,
...very soon I will be attempting to set the valve lash adjustments on my T3 JX engine... I intend to first measure the valve clearances, then order the needed shims.
Does anyone know what these shims are officially called, and where to get them?
Big Thanks!
Ed

On the Brickwerks site they're listed as 'Valve clearance adjusting shims'.

AHA! SUPER!
...and the great thing is they are sold individually! ...and price is good so shipping and duty to Czech will be minimal.
I was beginning to consider making my own shims, but these look better - THANKS!

yes... that is not a bad idea --- as far as I know these VW SHIMS are universal for a wide range of VW's (perhaps other cars also?) - and there are plenty of garages around where I live... I will only need a few shims, probably about 5, so likely I could get them cheaper and quicker by just asking some local VW engine shop! Great Idea!
