Lol this was purely to store it in for many years whilst I did the work. The van now lives on my drive. There's an in joke with my mates. I spent enough time and money making that van shed!

This is ours:

Keeps the weather off but it high enough to get up on axle stands. Garage blocks prevailing westerly winds. Air able to circulate around. I can work on it in the dry!! Tools etc all readily accessible through garage side door. There is now gutter along the near edge and a down pipe to three 500 litre water butts.

This thread is making me very jealous of those of you with the space to put up these brilliant shelters. Sadly a distant dream for those of us living in the Smoke and squeezing into tiny on-street parking spots!

Unfortunately I dont have the space to build a full size garage for the van... but I did build this earlier in the year as I needed somewhere to build my engine ... I call it The Specialist Engine Construction Division..., The Mr's calls it her summer house.... well it will be once I have moved all my tools back out

I'm just in the process of buying a house. I turned up to the viewing to an electronically opened gate, large driveway and a double garage with an inspection pit. It also has another single garage on a second driveway. Can't remember a thing about inside the house, the wife knew it was game over when we turned up after viewing 8 nicely decorated houses in the same weekend. I'm really excited, I just need to lift the roof to let my Syncro westy in. It's bad when a van determines a 30year mortgage. I just need to convince her the 70's decor will do whilst I sort the garage roof out.

It's certainly not a grand place. I think my garage space is bigger and in better condition than the house. Ive literally bought a big garage with a house attached, the previous owner was a classic car enthusiast, which is why he probably replaced the garden with a massive garage. I'm actually going to be living in the van whilst we get the house water tight. I'm glad my wife doesn't read this forum..
