To be fair my question was abit vauge, my van apparently is a converted panel van and the sundown seals are these claytonrite type seals and I know there are Afew different variations on widths and the sizes of the slits for the glass/panels and I wanted to know if anyone had come across the right size seals to use and where's the best place to get them from

Having recently replaced some of my seals (non aquatic mammal type!!), my advice would be to remove the originals first and try to get replacements that are very near to identical to the originals.
Many of the seals available can differ in thickness, width, etc. This means that you could either have a devil of a job getting your glass back in (risking breaking the glass), or on the other hand having gaps in the seals at the corners of the glass etc.

I replaced all my side window seals 18 months ago, due to corrosion issues caused by badly fitted/fitting seals! I bought new seals from http://www.sealsplusdirect.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and they were decent quality. Yes, claytonrite is the correct stuff. I used WR62 (5mm x 1.5) and FS72 filler strip (windows cut into panel van), but check this.

I tried to fit them myself (I've done windscreen seals on other vehicles with no issues), but they are hard to do properly - you need 2 people and there's a knack. My advice is pay a pro to fit them - cost me £100, which I thought was well worth it considering the damage the leaks had caused. Took 2 blokes an hour to fit 4 windows.

maybe they were the wrong seals/profile/composition ? or the guys have no idea or they were lifting a ££leg££, i say this because it takes 20 mins as a rule for one of us to fit 4 x panel seals, they are the ones we supply so may be the reason,agree though that if youver not done them before it is tricky

Maybe some leg lifting going on , but it took them an hour, as I watched them do the job to see if I could learn anything. It was a very cold day and they were working outside on my drive, so that would have made the seal less supple. Plus I had welded in all-new window appetures so the fit probably wasn't that great. Couldn't have done it myself though - believe me I tried
