Moonrakers - I can't thank you enough for all the detail - and you are completely right, I am a novice - I've been tinkering with my various vans, for years and learnt so much by doing things myself and I don't have lots of money to pour into it, if I think I can give it a go myself. So thank you so much, for both the inspiration and the directional support and I absolutely don't take that as partronising - im incredibly grateful :) Also thanks Midlifecrisis for pointing that out! :)

I do have an eberspacher, but it's never been working and I completely forgot that the eber runs off the petrol system.
Im pretty sure all the fuel lines need changing. Like I've said before (sorry to repeat myself) but I have bought this van BACK 7 months ago, after selling it to my friend 7 years ago!! I'm quite sure that, even though she spent a lot on it at Resto Classics, she didn't actually do any work on it herself - like for example, changing the fuel lines. And even if this doesn't solve that problem I currently have, it means I have done a worthwhile job and learnt something new.

Thanks you so much :)

Ah, so you have probably accomplished things that I'm yet to try myself as you have been a long-term owner. Glad to hear you have your old van back, that's pretty cool, and all the best fixing the hoses. See you around...
