Gas connector adapter??

Post by Doug T »

Hey, so I've got an external lpg tank on our Westie and I want to hook up an external grill.
I was looking at getting a cadac but realised I have a smaller camping gaz party grill.
This takes canisters which I believe ae the cv connector.
My question is, does anyone do a connector to allow me to hook up an 8mm gas hose to this type of inlet?

Hi Doug,

I have a Cadac and clamped flexible hose onto the inlet fitting with a jubilee clip and used a quick connect (from Brickwerks) also clamped with a jubilee clip at the other end.

If your cadac works off those little screw on canisters it is known as a HP (hi pressure) cadac. Ones that work off gas bottle are known as LP (low pressure) units. You will struggle to find an adapter to change HP to LP, although one is available for the other way around.
Maybe send cadac a email and ask if there is a conversion kit, if there is you can bet it would work out cheaper to sell yours and buy the right one..
