Errrrr - think you might be a bit confused there - there is no coolant warning light fuse??ant-t wrote:Question is position 3 is for the coolant warning light in the Haynes manual so I guess that I'm leaving myself open to no flashing light should the temp gauge go off the scale?

See this page for a list of fuses.....http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/VehicleSpec ... /fuses.htm
If your van has the blade fuses (which it should have) then that fuse is for the interior lights/vanity lights and radio, fag lighter and clock.

Re: Flashing red light...
My van has the older ceramic fuses but the wiring is definitely not as it rolled out of the factory. I didnt really have much to work with whilst trying to find the fault apart from my Haynes manual and my multimeter. But the fuse in position 3 on my bus caused the problem, there had been an old alarm which was hard wired in and that probably had something to do with it.

Re: Flashing red light...
Well - that's pretty odd then as fuse 3 would be left-hand dipped headlight??????
Do your lights still work??

Yes agree it's pretty odd, all lights are working, the fault was like an immobiliser, everything looked fine when you go to start up but absolutely nothing once you push the key over to start
