short on lights
Ever since I got this van (T25 joker 1989 petrol converted to 1600TD) it has run the battery down if you leave it unused for any length of time. I have slowly been working through the problems but this one has persisted. I have checked the negative cable to battery, many times, for signs of a leak but there was none. Last night my son noticed that the van lights were left on. When I looked the lights were all switched off but the front offside sidelight/headlight was on with the same side rear light. I am pretty sure this occurs when it rains.
Does anyone have any suggestions where the most likely culprit is to be and where I can start looking?
cheers

Re: short on lights
Are the indicators on - I think some vehicles had parking lights that operate off the indicator when the ignition is off?

Re: short on lights
The culprit is you.....
You have left/are leaving the parking light on!!!!!
It is set by leaving the indicator on to the side that you want before you turn the ignition off. Just make sure that you cancel the indicators before leaving the vehicle.
Bah... beaten to it.

Re: short on lights
you are SO right!!! Thanks for the prompt response. Yes you're dead right. Good to solve one problem but I guess that doesn't solve my drain problem. (Or does it? Perhaps I just always left that on and didn't notice)

Doesn't apply to 85 and before though I think.

Re: short on lights
Grey wire it is then. I keep forgetting the side light so I suspect I'd forget the kill switch just as much.
