No Brakel Lights (not bulbs or fuse)
We have a 1987 T25 (Losty) and the brake lights are not working. The brake master cylinder has what appears to be two identical brake switches. I have tried bypassing the one facing me (by using a bridging wire) as I look at the master cylinder from the drivers seat. This results in both brake lights lighting up. Also if I connect a meter set to ohms I can see that the switch is triggering as I press the brake pedal. This did not seem to be true for the other switch although I had the first switch still disconnected. Can anyone help me solve this? Many thanks in anticipation, Pete

Re: No Brakel Lights (not bulbs or fuse)
I regularly have problems with corrosion of the rear light clusters. I check that i have power to the back of the van: in the black box in the engine bay disconnect one of 7 wire plugs. Your looking for the plug with a red and black cable. Check that you have 12v at the plug (with the brake pedal pressed). If so then the problem is most probably the clusters. The power goes to the left cluster then bridges off to the right cluster.
If you don't have power there then the problem is most likely at the front of the van : fuse, switches and a two pin plug on the fuse box area

Connect the second switch that is nearer the Servo. Replace switch as necessary. Had dash out recently and forgot to plug this switch in, didn't work without it.
