Hi, I'm in the process of renovating "Dilly" my 1983 1.6D Devon. I have some new roof seals to fit onto the elevating roof, but the hing side seems to not have any room to get the old seal off either opened or closed.
Do I need to unhinge the roof to do this simple task and if so how do I go about it. The hinges are pop riveted to the fiberglass roof outside and I haven't had a look inside to see how they are attached. I think they are hidden from view.
Any help with this is gratefully received.
I have loads of pics but don't want to post them until she's completed....not long now hopefully...

Re: Devon roof seals
Hi
I bought my seal for the very same job today, after a close inspection around the hinges,I noticed that part of the seal is notched out,so I will attempt to do the same. It's not the metal part of the seal that needs to be notched out
Just the rubber......I think ,and hope........!
