Re: TV aerial
Hi I have just fitted a flat screen in my van , I fitted a status 330 on the roof and the picture is excellent. Only downside it looks like a flying saucer on the roof.

I've tried one, but it was a bit difficult to get a good signal, let me know how your stubby one performs.fazzer wrote:I use my freeview tv in my camper but only ever watch dvd,s,ive done a bit of searching about ariels and found these small stubby ariels for sale on ebay £19.99 which I have been told are pretty good.Ive just ordered one gonna try it the weekend,

Re: TV aerial
It all depends so much on the signal strength where you happen to be at the time.
The cheapest tiny "twig" style will give you a hundred channels in a good signal strength area, whereas a £150 amplified "flying saucer" might give you zilch in a poor signal area. Having said that, I am intending to maximise my chances of getting a decent signal by purchasing a better one than the dumpy style, amplified mag base one I currently have, but it is annoying to spend out, and properly mount, a decent camping style one, only to find you still get no signal at xyz location.
My current one ("library" pic) =

Note = some of those fancy looking "flying saucer" ones are nothing much more than a wire "halo" encased in plastic with a cheap amp in the base.

Re: TV aerial
i have the same aerial as ghost123 , 7 quid from ebay works very well considerng the price.
rumour has it attach the magnetic base to something metal ( roof ) and it works better

Re: TV aerial
those of you that have a tv/dvd fitted , what have you used to mount it.
i am intending to mount it on the roof just back from the two front seats, so that when the bed is in place its central to your view
