NON VW = repainting the inside of a refrigerated van

I get asked to research some daft stuff by some people. A guy I do a bit of driving for has asked me to see if I can find a place that can professionally re-paint the inside of the back of his 3.5 ton refrigerated van I am guessing it will be some sort of special paint. The surface appears to be fibreglass matt type finish (but not sure it is) and of course this van carries chilled food.

Google searches on a topic as specialised as this just come up with all sorts of random unhelpful stuff
Anyone know where to start looking for a company who could do this (properly )

p.s. - Van located in S. Cheshire / N. Shropshire border.

I wouldn't have thought it was originally painted - gel coat in the fibreglass is much more likely.

I presume it's got stained and scratched about? If so, then any paint is going to have to be pretty damn tough not to go the same way.

Start by asking the company that converted the van in the first place?

I drove reefers for quite a few years and never saw one that had been painted inside the load area. They were all fibreglass gell coat for hygene reasons. Paint may easily flake off and get into the food being carried which is obviously undesirable.

(Incidentally, Nic Beeee, I often used to deliver chilled food to the Asda RDC in Hinkley! They had a great canteen that the drivers were allowed to use while the wagons were on the bay waiting to get tipped. )

This guy also expects his drivers to wash the outsides of the 3 3.5Ton "reefers" with a sponge and washing up liquid He is the same guy who nearly killed me (and possibly others) when a car tyre that was fitted to one of the 3.5T vans exploded on the motorway. Fortunately I got it safely to the hard shoulder.
