Has anyone got any experience wiring one of these up?
I have searched for a wiring diagram/manual with no joy and have been told they were never supplied with them as they were made for caravan companies to install their own way. Currently I have 2x 240v sockets running but no 12v set up. The unit has 6x 12v fuses in a fusebox and separate feeds out from this. The negative side of the 12v circuit is a busbar.
I'm led to believe the PMS4 acts as a power supply for 12v when connected to a hookup and can double as a battery charger, but how to wire that up is a mystery.
If the 12v circuits run to the unit I can't work out where the battery comes in.

Can't see any sign of charging on this poor pic. You would be looking for 14v or so on an output rather than 12v

I have a PMS3, and I found a manual on the O'Leary motor homes site here. If they're similar you may find some useful tips in there. I also found a website run by a chap that used to work for Plugin Systems here.
In my PMS3 the charger does indeed work in power supply mode.

Re: Plugin Systems PMS4
Found them with this info - so yes there is a charger! That pic hasn't all the info by the look of it.
PMS4 - Power Management System
A combined mains 240V AC and 12V DC distribution unit especially designed for caravan and motorhome installations.
Earth leakage protection via 40A RCD device
Over current protection via 3 x MCB devices
Reverse polarity 240V neon indicator
12A or 18A charger with over current, short circuit and thermal protection
Six fused outputs via automotive blade fuses
Connecting kit with all necessary plugs and sockets provided

Re: Plugin Systems PMS4
Seen both of those previously but:
- The PMS3 is a system designed for home converters and somewhat different.
- The chap that used to work for Plugin primarily sells a power board upgrade for the PMS4 and wasn't very forthcoming with any advice. Shame.

Re: Plugin Systems PMS4
I think I will need to pare(?sp) down OldiebutGoodie's diagram down (quite a bit!) and go from there.
The relays look a bit confusing.
Currently I have 3 batteries connected in parallel.
I want to have one main starter battery and 2 leisure batteries connected together so that needs to be considered. If there is a charger I could either use it for the starter battery, or the leisure batteries.
