Love it, love it, love it!!

Got the tall model, throw over method of attaching, sooo glad I did this, I'm 6'2 and would really annoy be ducking all the time!!

Watered the tent before first use and no leaks!!

Yup, lots of zips and catching canvas but I have had that with every tent, become the norm!!

Will explore the c rail or roof rail method over the winter!!

We use a C section awning rail on the van, with a kador strip connecting this to figure of 8 strips which connect to the awning beading. Works very well. Disconnecting is a simple matter of pulling out the kador strip - 30 seconds and you're on your way! Re-connecting is another story, no doubt well documented elsewhere! Suffice to say that provided you line up the van more or less exactly where it was before, you're laughing and the kador slots in easily. Try doing that on a pitch black and rainy night however!
One useful tip - get hold of a can of silicon spray (Got ours from
Go Outdoors for a few quid) and keep the awning rail and figure of 8 well lubricated. Makes inserting the kador strip much easier.

Now you know why we use the pole and clamp. As you roll up the surplus to hold it tight. You can take up 200mm with no problem and it's all done inside the awning.
