Hi All,
I know I will probably have to get this professionally looked at, but does anyone have any idea why a Electrolux fridge (that appears to be gas only) lights and remains lit but does not cool on any setting?
Thanks,
Dave

Re: Fridge not cooling
Hi
Had similar problems with my fridge - it had not run for the three years we had it.
So followed some instructions on here. Took fridge out, left it upside down for 24 hours. Cleaned gas jets and igniter. Reconnected and it works fine.
I did not realise it took about two - four hours to cool the fridge down on gas. On 12V it keeps it cool, but not as efficient.

If turning it upside down doesn't work, you may need to get it regassed by a refrigeration engineer. Not sure where you would get it done, perhaps by an A/C engineer?

Re: Fridge not cooling
Mines tyhe same. Doesn't vork if the vans not level or if it's a hot day. Is there a better fridge rather than regassing the old electrolux. I've wasted a lot of food recently when the frtidge stops working. Ooi where would regas it?
When turning mine upside down i must have dislodged something because I can smell lpg.

Re: Fridge not cooling
Absorption fridges can't be regassed - if leaving upside down for 24 hours (and waiting a few hours after turning back over) doesn't work then they are scrap.
