Hi all ...is it safe to leave gas fridge on over night whilst asleep incase flame blows out, is there safety devices fitted on vans to shut gas off.

Re: Gas bottle
I'm no expert but I would have thought that was a basic necessity in all gas appliances.

Re: Gas bottle
Probably best to have a battery CO alarm in the van as well to be on the safe side

vents don't stop gas leaking from elsewhere like the pipes.

Re: Gas bottle
Gas fridge has a thermocouple, if it blows out the gas goes off!

Re: Gas bottle
LPG has a greater density than air (1.5 - 2 times the density of air) so any gas leak would sink to the lowest point in the van. Air vents in the floor under the gas bottle and ideally under the fridge are very important. Any gas sensor/alarm that is installed needs to be located as low as possible to be effective.
