Coolent pipe location trobble

Hello was put the engin back in the van today and found a pipe resting on top of the gear box that previous owner had blocked off with a bolt I located it to the back of a plastic manifold pic below was wondering were its ment to connect to

So the plastic part just behind the back of the bay on drivers side behind this pipe

Could be pipe work to rear heater that one time sat under rear seat ? If thats the case, Go Westy sells a
rear heater delete kit .

It's comming off the rad return pipe so it's not an atual pipe on its own I had a quick look in the manual and it looks like it might be a pipe that goes to an auto gearbox fluid cooler but I don't have an auto so there may have been a possible pipe change at some point or long ago maybe the van had a auto box
But anyhoo it dodent look like it matters to much that it's blocked off
