hi all, ive just bought a t25, A reg, drove it 20 miles, no problem, engine heat was fine, got home, and all of a sudden i had loads of water pouring out from the engine bay. after looking it looked like it came from the additional expansion tank, would this be because the seller had put too much water in it? the van was stationary at the time outside my house.
thanks
gary

Re: t25 lost water when stationary
Yes, potentially especially if there is air in the system. The coolant passes from the header tank (with a valve on top, typically blue or black) to the expansion tank. This tank over spills.
I had this after an engine change.
Wait for the engine to be totally cold - at least 4 hrs. Full the header tank to full and the expansion tank to max. This will establish the levels.
Run the engine until hot. Make sure the cab heater is selected to hot. Open the bleed valve on top of the radiator to expell any air.
You may have to repeat this occasionally.
Let us know how you get on.
