Hi
I've been away for two weeks just tried to start my 2 litre Aircooled and no joy
Motor is turning over but doesn't want to fire up battery seems ok
So any advice ?

Do you have a spark?
Is fuel getting to the carb?
There are many reasons why an engine won't fire,m so you have to eliminate things

Try the simplest trick. Splash an eggcupful of fuel down each carb throat before starting. The lines are almost certainly bone dry in this heat and the pump (on turnover) won't be going fast enough to suck the fuel through. Chances are it'll splutter, fire, then die after 20 seconds. Repeat this until it doesn't need your help.

Thanks for the advice it was the petrol pump that had died
