Replace motor dome classic

Post by randamonia »

Hi

We got a Khyam motor dome classic awning with our van when purchased. It's a liittle bit tatty but serviceable and has done us ok so far. Thinking about replacing it though and first thoughts were just get a new one of the same model. Should I be looking at any other models? Pros, cons etc?!

Cheers

Vango airbeam Sapera (large one) or Kela (smaller one) they do two different heights, we have the shorter one. It's very easy and quick to pitch and just as important, take down. The Sapera is plenty big enough, big windows, light and good quality. Also comes with an inner as a bedroom and you can get footprint and carpet. Really stable in wind and a good large tunnel section between the awning and van, useful for storage (and the loo) and can be fitted with fig 8, awning rail, pole and clamp or two really long straps that throw over the van.
There are plenty of other types of awning and I'm sure others will have their favourites too. But we are very happy with the Sapera.
