Awning fixing

Post by randamonia »

Hi
When I bought my van it came with a drive away awning and plastic figure of eight connectors. The thing is I have to remove the black plastic strip from my gutter rail to fit the figure 8 strip.......or am I missing something/just being dumb?

Thanks a lot

The figure of 8 strip on my awning attachment has been altered so that the van side is a little wider. Then it clips over the black bead.

I never liked the figure of eight, mine always squeaked in the wind and occasionally came off. Much prefer the pole and clamp system.

I agree. I'm not overkeen on the fig of 8. It's by no means perfect.
I think I may also go over to pole and clamp soon.
