Help Identifying Conversion T25
Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I have a 1980 T25, its painted up like a Devon including Decals, but the interior although old looks wrong. This lead me to dig deeper. The vans been resprayed, I don't have any history pre 1998 so I'm stuck on finding out what it is, but the insurance company is asking me for gas and electrical install certificates as they believe from my description is could be a bespoke install by an unknown. The previous owner has been told it is a Bilbo but has no idea what model and I'm not convinced. The interior cabinets are mottled blue melamine but has been covered with white gloss vinyl. The electric panel is by Peter Everard, most of it seems to work. It has an Imobiliser switch and deadlocks on the doors.Heres the details From the previous owners advert.
I can take more pics it helps and email to anyone in the know.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That furniture is Devon based, someone has remade it.
Devon used Weetabix to make interiors, it rotted if left damp.
Looks like a homie* to me.

Thanks, still looking into it. I've had the floor lining up and the glovebox out and it's been sprayed through the complete shell. The water and hook up points are proper bodywork fittings, the water filler looks like a recessed petrol cap you, a very professional job so I'm still not convinced.

Home built campers can be very high spec, not to be sniffed at.Bkfielden wrote:Thanks, still looking into it. There's a lot of love goes into the good ones.
The PO may well have copied the existing fillers and outlets, added hook up etc.

Re: Help Identifying Conversion T25
Strange that you say that the insurance co has asked for certificates, I have never been asked for anything like that on either of my vans. They have just accepted that they are camper vans with gas and electric systems, neither are professional conversions which they just accepted.

Re: Help Identifying Conversion T25
This ones got me beat!, rear seats look like they are trimmed with fabric bilbos used, some of the interior lining looks like bilbos. The units arnt standard bilbos. Id GUESS someone has took it to bilbos and asked for it to be part converted to the customers choice/budget, the style of the units look like Aztec conversion. So to be honest I don't know. adam
