If there's more atmospheric access to the engine oil, could this cause low pressure?

Just popped in to say that the oil sitting in the bottom of the engine is not under any pressure at all and is in fact kept at atmospheric pressure by the breather on top of the engine. The only oil that is at pressure is the oil flowing into the crankshaft and camshaft bearings (fed by oil pump).ScienceBoy wrote: If there's more atmospheric access to the engine oil, could this cause low pressure?
