Sump plug and Gear box plug sizes

Can anyone tell me the correct measurements for both the engine sump plug and the gear box plug for a 1985 T25 Diesel 1.6
Replacing both with magnetic plugs ,the van is not available for me to measure these as its at the garage and the mechanic is on holiday
The company I am ordering from suggested this size for the engine plug m14x1.5x16 but was not shure about the gear box plug
If someone could possibly be of any help that would be great

Gearbox drain is magnetic so best leave it.

I would assume the factory fitted drain plug is nowhere near as powerfull as the plug I am replacing it with

Make sure the garage photographs or preserves the plug thats in there, it will tell you alot about the current state of the box.

My thoughts.
I would think fitting a stronger magnet in a new gearbox would make sense, but one that's done overtime, had abuse from a PO, is a little gate shutting after the horse has gone.
As for the sump, aluminium is not magnetic, all the wearing bearing surfaces are not magnetic. Seems like over kill to me.
Magnets don't make engines last longer, regular oil changes do.
Change your oil regularly, every 4000 miles.

As above really, leave the gearbox one alone as it is already magnetic. Sump plug is M14 x 1.5 but as Kev says the best bet is to change oil and filter on a regular basis every 4000 miles or sooner if poor servicing is suspected from the previous owner.

Ok guys makes sence
Will change the gearbox oil and leave the magnet .so yeas are saying there is no magnetic chippings passing through the sump atoll?..Are all the engine components aluminium ,I would have though there would be metal particles for the magnet to capture .It wont do any harm that's for shure

As said bearing surfaces are not magnetic, so metal will still float around.
The only possible wear that I magnetic is from the bore and rings.
Once again it is so infinitesimal that a regular oil change will remove it.
With the magnet you have to wait for it to pass that little rod.
It's like catching flies with a pair of chopsticks.

Still if you want to do it then you can sleep better at night I suppose
