Hi All,
Went for a short drive yesterday , when I fortunately noticed a burning smell. Pulled over and discovered that some of the padding on my engine lid had fallen onto the hot exhaust and was smoking like crazy! Disaster averted, phew!
By engine lid , I mean the large piece of metal that you remove to access the engine from the top at rear of the van. On the underside mine has a carpet / plastic material attached.
Im guessing this padding used for sound insulation as wbx are not the quietest. Anything wrong with getting rid of it?
Thanks for reading
