I'm back for more of your expert advice & help please. The front right suspension has, what i can only describe as, a pop/knock as it goes over those dreaded speed humps and some pot holes (the ones i don't avoid).
The sound is heard as the van goes over the bump and starts to return to a level. Van goes over bump, van drops down over. Weight of van & motion forces van to drop down. Springs kick in and force van up, POP/KNOCK!!!
So not on the downward movement but upwards movement. You also notice it when you brake sharply and release foot pedal, ie. you brake, van lurches forward and down slightly. Foot off pedal quickly and van 'springs' back up- pop/knock.
So far i have changed both upper and lower ball joints, anti-roll bar bushes and all the 'bits and bobs' above the shock absorber. There is only very slight play in the upper wishbone bushes. And actually, now i remember, those have been changed too. The radius rods are solid and don't show any signs of movement. The rubber bushes have a very slight split but the MOT guy at work said he would only 'point them out' to a customer so they're aware and not fail or issue an advisory on them. And it has been MOT'd a few times and never been noted. (But that's not to say the test guy's have being doing their jobs properly)
Apart from changing the shock, i'v come to a brick wall.

So guy's, what ya reckon?
cheers
Rob
