It's starting to affect the sliding door now aswell...so can't just keep on ignoring it.

Luckly I be-friended a welder in a pub last week, so hopefully he could help some how...?

What is it? Looks like silicone sealant over rust or something?

ah sorry it the bit below my sliding door. It;s all corroded...and fallin off....

- It's got loads of grease in it

Ultimately? Cut it all out and replace with new metal.

If it't what I'm thinking it is, ie holds in the door seal Alan Schofields do em...It is welded to the outer sill.......
