Not sure how to do a link but they also list the input shaft, does anyone know if the 1.4 block has the same bolt pattern as the european golf 2.0

Very similar iirc, there might be one hole that needs tapping or drilling out. Axeman has fitted a later 1,8 20v upright in his doka using a conversion kit really meant for earlier inline engines, he found a couple of small snags but no big dramas.

I will take a look at the 1.4 engine over weekend as happen to have one sitting in the garage :D

If bolts all line up that easy then the newer vag engines will fit easier using that adaptor plate.

With my adapter plate and flywheel the company i bought it from told me that i can mate any vag in line 4 up to 2012. So there is no reason i can see why this one will be any different. Dose any one know what angle the 1.4 sits at in a bay?
