How do you remove the steering wheel not clockwise or anti clockwise??

How do you mean not clockwise or anti clockwise.? It's anti clockwise to remove the nut.The wheel then pulls off the spines.

Sorry I missed typed I meant to say nut not not?
Its very tight so I wanted to ensure which direction it turns so as not to damage it. I will try anti clockwise as per your suggestion.
