Non VW...Lister and Tangye (?) pump

Post by maxstu »

Anyone here knowledgeable about 1930's water pumps? I have a 1928 Lister stationary engine & Tangye inverted three piston pump. Least we think it's a Tangye....yet no markings anywhere. Any confirmations welcomed

Compression on all three barrels are very poor and not producing much suction to move water. If you view my lousy photos each barrel is threaded. Are these adjustable? Will winding them toward base increase compression? Or new rings required. Any information very much welcomed.

Item might be placed for sale on this forum if any interest is shown
