How did you re line the roof? Mine has the flocking on at present. Did you just remove the old flocking and stick on some material?

Basically, yes, the old stuff came out, and the new stuff went in. Ady will hopefully be along soon to tell you exactly what he used.

Andrews roof was an early one so had no flocking on it, just cleaned it up and stuck it on with high temp spray glue. Material was called Veltrim and from a place called Harrison's, they're on eBay.
If the flock is just dirty you can normally clean it up ok. On really tatty ones In the past I've left it on and stuck acoustic cloth on top. It's a really good base for gluing to.

Ady, are these roof safety frames available to buy? If so what price and lead time?

Sorry only just seen this, yes I sell them for £295 finished in etch primer or £325 in your body colour. Quite busy at the moment so looking around 3 weeks lead time.

Do you have an early or late roof? on an early roof the canvas is tacked to a wooden baton in the poptop, check my thread for more info

Lovely van!

Fitted my roof today with Huggy (think you know him?)- it's the later type roof with the screw trim :) Guess i should have done a build thread really...few more bits before it goes for paint. Would love a westy interior to play with- got a few ideas but google isn't showing any for sale :(

Ok- how much should the bed platform fold back onto the fibreglass section? Both sections?

Do I have it assembled correctly?!

Thanks!

You have it assembled correctly, you need to put the cushions on to make it lay flat. The two wooden sections/stages should lie flat against each other, if they don't your brackets are probably fouling on themselves.
When the roof is down you only fold back the first bed stage, hence why they need to lie flat against each other.

Plenty of pics here
