People generally say to stay away from MDF units as the wood can often soak up water unless properly sealed. I can't vouch for any of the units on eBay but been tempted by them many a time. The birch ply ones look good and I should imagine you get what you pay for here. I am going to make my own as I am only having a single stand alone unit. Good luck, Jon.

They look decent enough, birch ply is good but as ^ says it depends on the build quality.

My interior is a frankenstine, I have lightweight ply 15mm, hardwood ply 12mm and my kitchen is made from 10mm aqua ply!!

They all work well and hold up!!
