Indicator & dashboard illumination

Hi there, can anybody help please?
Recently purchased our 1st t25, & started to work on "the old girl". If indicating left with the stalk fully depressed, the indicator cuts out, slightly raised, no problem. RHS & hazards work fine. Also there appears to be no dashboard illumination. Is this easy to rectify as not overly confident on taking the dashboard apart.

Pulling the dash binnacle off will reveal the bulbs
Grip the rear and pull it toward you.
As for the indicator it reads like the mechanism is at fault and will require removal of the steering wheel.
