Front table
Hi there, in trying to fit a front table to my autosleeper, I have brought a desmo floor base, table leg and base. I have attached the table base, but I'm unsure how to fit the floor base between the seats? Has any done this or know how with pictures please.

Craig

Re: Front table
The floor base ones usually go in the back. The front ones have a bracket fixed to the seat box.

Re: Front table
mine has a desmo factory fitted in the front......I would have thought a hole saw would be required
or get a westie one..............though the pure blooded autosleeper may well reject the foreign body

Re: Front table
I fitted a table in the front and mines an autosleeper.
I took my time and found a place to put the base.
You have to be extremely careful.
There's a few things you can slice through.
I then fitted some VW rear heat ducting, which covered the base up.
So I made a westy type table bracket, attached to the battery compartment, which was less dangerous to fit.
Out of the two the westy type bracket turned out to be infinitely more useful and versatile.
hope this helps

Re: Front table
I thought all Autosleepers had a desmo type "base" put into the floor between the front seats, were they an option?

Re: Front table
Saw a really neat one some years back where one table edge was held by two retainers on the face of the dash with a support leg/brace underneath that fitted into something behind gear lever. It packed nicely behind a front seat when not in use. DIY I think, but it did the job without taking up much space - enough for cups of tea and fish and chips. I must make one.

Re: Front table
Yeah I made my own too off the westy leg bracket.
Mild steel tubing off eBay, mdf board cut and a curved edge routed and then a layer of that stick on vinyl.
Used a cheap tv bracket as the base bracket and works a treat
