Edited - just 1 stupid question now, rear wiper turn on?

Problem solved, just not sorted.

Popped the back panel off of the boot lid, there's the wires for wiper all neatly wrapped up & connected to nothing.
Powered up the motor directly & all is good. I guess next time I'm running wire down the bus, run a couple of extra for the rear wiper, then revisit the stalk. In the mean time, I'll keep an eye out for a replacement stalk with rear wiper built in.

Still leaves me with the unknown fuse though, can't be rear wiper if it didn't have one out the factory!
