How Do I replace the speedometer unit?

I have an issue with a speedo not working properly (I've sorted out the cable so I know it's not that) and I need a new clock fitted.

I have sourced the parts but I can not find anyone to help with the replacement. I can't find any videos or posts on the forums explaining how to do it.

I am concerned about the blue wiring strip will be damaged if I try to remove it.

How do I replace these units?
What tools do I need? A soldering iron?
Can the speedo be repaired?
Where do babies come from?

I would like some answers to at least three of these questions if possible.

Addressing the first three questions...
You only need a screwdriver.
No soldering required.
Depends on what is wrong with it.
The only involvement with the blue circuit board when changing the speedo is a connector to the oil pressure warning circuit which is built into the back of the speedo - the connector simply pulls off and pushes on.
As long as the circuit board is in good condition where the main multiway connector plugs on, which you unplug to remove the instrument panel, then you shouldn't have any problems.

be careful not to over tighten the 4 mounting/retaining screws holding the unit to the dash and the screws holding the speedo into the unit itself...all plastics are now 25+ years old and break very easily. Nip only!
