Hi , does anyone use a woodburner like a frontier stove in there awnings?
I'm thinking if I was to get a canvas awning or ex army command post tent and use the tent flashing kit it would keep the van nice and toastie on a cold evening

Still very dangerous as the proofer on old canvas is / was very flammable. Any small sparks will make nice little air vent holes in no time, and a full blown fire worst case scenario.
My advice if you are thinking of getting an ex army tent is a 14' square ridge tent, and heat it with a tilley lamp or two. With the doors done up, you will soon be sweltering.
