Interior carpet match?

Post by Mooms »

Hi all,

I'm hoping to be able to get matching interior carpets for the few bits that have gone dry and perished since they were originally put in... Vast majority is perfect, but some has gone brittle (some of the doorcard area and back areas) I was wondering where to start to look? Everything I've seen is grey carpet lining but ours is a bit more vintage?

Can anyone help??

Ok, had a dream last night that I re carpeted the whole thing!! is it a heavy job?

Would it look better to redo it, than have un matching areas?

We have a friend who "owes" us a few hours of his time, so would only be the cost of carpet/adehesive to do it?

At most VW shows there are vendors selling all manner of textiles.
By far the best show for this, is Busfest.
Here you will find almost every fabric that was put in a camper.
As for its ease of fitting, that depends on your patience.
Suffice to say that refitting fabric/covering/carpet is the reverse of removal.
Once the piece is off simply copy it., and refit it using glue and / or staples
