Subaru EJ25 Coolant & Oil

Post by Dollytony »

Getting close now to finishing my EJ25 SOHC conversion, been reading various bits on the web about what coolant to run in the Subaru engine, can anyone on here give any advice as to which coolant to use and a what ratio with water?

Also can anyone recommend an oil to use?

Thanks

Tony

IIRC my EJ22 used green coolant and it had ffsh.
I would use pink coolant such as Comma G30 in an all alloy engine @ the concentrations recommended on the barrel.
Any half decent 10W40 is ok in the EJ

I was looking at my Legacy manual and it states 10W30 or 10W40 to API SG, it should be embossed into the oil filler cap unless they changed that detail.
