Keith,
Seems an odd thing to post on a thread that's pretty self explanatory. A little more text wouldn't have gone amiss in the question, or a background of credible questions would suffice to settle my conscience that I'm not spending time replying to a spam bot. I've been on forums long enough to know that it's a distinct possibility.

Excuse my paranoia. :run

That's great. Just been quoted £80 + VAT to get mine done. Only thing is they need the parts for 2 weeks - not sure want to be without my van that long!

Just to follow up, I presume RAL 7032, kieselgrau (seidenmatt/satin finish) is the colour for the grey parts 'down below'. The roof metal fittings are in a lighter, almost creme colour - any body out there know the right code for these?

Sorry, should have realised that. I had mine painted grey as I changed the roof canvas to grey at the same time and that was a code quoted. I never used that actual code but just a paint color that closely matched it from the available ones the powder coaters had.

Did you manage to resolve the 'lop-sided' closing issue after? What was the cause?

Hi there,
It is much better now. It may have been a combination of small adjustments when I put it back together, but one side of the H bar mech doesn't hit the roof anymore and the seal on the front of the roof mates up snugly across the full length against the front deflector so pretty happy all in all. There was a small amount of wear on the cross bar on one side where it mates with the hinge but nothing drastic. I put a smear of grease in there so hopefully nothing will start grinding away for the foreseeable future :D .

One thing I should mention to anybody that may be thinking of having the H bar part shot blasted. Place some compressed cotton or similar in the hollow bars. I had the forthought to do this, but I do know somebody that didn't and he says that he has an awful grinding where the left over sand / beads are left inside the tubes when he elevates the roof:(
