Gear linkage bush size?

Big lumps of metals and spanners. Including servicing and fluids.

Gear linkage bush size?

Post by hc-animal »

Hi, not long had my westie and the gear change is horrendous. Looking underneath I find that the bush that is supposed to run through a hanger of the chassis above the fuel tank is non existant. Looked everywhere for one but no joy. Being an engineer I thought I would make one but it with the tank in its proving quite hard to measure accurately. So my question, does anyone know the diameter of the hanger or have a van without a fuel tank on they could measure please. It is for a 1980 which I believe us the same as upto 1983. Here's hoping :)

That is the later bush from 1983.
The early bush is NLA but the sizes are on the samba.

21 & 22 end in 207 and 209 respectively yet the Brickwerks are 207 D and 207 E implying that D is the early and D the late and is the same bush, different incarnations. Very confusing!!
