Rear wash/wipe wiring

I have bought a tailgate to upgrade the C spec one in the bus (and lose the usual rust) as above, will be removing it myself.
Is it possible/sensible to unplug the wiring at the fuseboard end and draw the whole lot through, rather than just cutting it?
I appreciate that the refit will be a game but the headlining in the recipient is done for anyway.
Can anyone advise on the wiring colours and location on the later-type fuseboard (donor '87, recipient late '85)

PS I can't trust the Book of Lies, especially for wiring, but I think the rear wiper is V12, relay J30?
In which case the wires are green/black and black/grey? Plus brown earth of course.

PS Haynes has V12 rear wiper motor down as V1 in the list...
