Why would the glass be anything other than half full?

They look pretty smart Mitch although for £50 you could go the landy conversion route (bracket & new mirrors). Will be interesting to see what price they finish at as it could be worth making a few up & flogging them on!
The good thing with the Land Rover ones are that the mirrors are convex so you get a much better view of the road.

The simplest solution when replacing mirrors is to replace the weak tension springs inside with the thicker stronger ones from the original mirrors. No flapping then!

My mirrors don't flap as I've sanded the balls and tightened the spring but these do look rather smart in my opinion.
HOWEVER, they're currently at £165!!!!!!!!!!! I'm thinking that can't be right, who on earth would pay that for something that is 'cut 'n shut'?
I bet it won't be long before Covkid is knocking them out at a fraction of the price or at the very least, putting a 'how to' video together.
I like them that much, I may look at cobbling some together myself.

I was having serious issues with my mirrors pee'ing me off. As a last ditch attempt before heading the Landy route I took the mirror apart, vaselined, dipped in sand and screwed back together tight. Happy to say the drivers mirror has stayed in place for about 2 months so far.....just need to do the passenger side now.

I justv got a couple of rubber bulkhead grommets (the one with no hole in the centre, but just a nice little thin piece of circular rubber), that I had kicking about in my toolbox. I then I carefully cut the the thick outer edging away to liberate the rubber disc. Once the mirror was dismantled, cleaned, painted and refurned back to almost new (this included cleaning and slightly sanding all ball and socket components). I then poked a small hole through the centre of the rubber disc and threaded it onto the mounting bolt, so that it sat between the socket and ball (i also gave the rubber disc a bit of a scuff on both sides with a bit of sandpaper before i fitted it). So it was effectivley creating a higher friction pad between the two sliding surfaces.
Chucked them back on the van, adjusted, and thats were they have stayed since ...and that was 18 months ago.

Those Golf hybrids do look pretty good. All VAG, same age as later T3's, they just look right.
Assuming you can see more in them than with Corrado mirrors?

Aren't the rado mirrors smaller? They're not for me anyhow but I'm seriously tempted by the golf ones. Still on shock at the selling price though.

I actually have a basic pair from GSF which surprisingly I've had no problems at all with. Rather than fit stronger springs I just added an extra 10mm nut and that did the trick. Never like the Corrado conversion.
