I think it more likely due to constant heating & cooling than vibration
We have stronger filaments for boats to counteract the vibration not heating and cooling. Fact not thought.
Who mentioned boats? :D
In 50 years of motoring & many miles & different vehicles I am fairly sure I have only ever had to replace 4 bulbs. A number plate lamp on a 10 year old Rover 75, a stop/tail light on a 1981 Chevette, a courtesy light on a VW Caravelle ( can't remember year) & a headlight bulb on an Avenger. None on my 1985 Autosleeper :D Sorry, but in the application the poster was talking about I still cannot see any problem with using T & E. so I guess we will have to agree to differ. :o
