2.0 CU won't start :-(

Post by JesusJason »

Hello all, I took my van out for a quick spin last week (to warm the oil for an oil change) did a couple of miles and it was just like someone flicked a switch and the engine died. She had eaten through two Facet fuel pumps and it felt like the same thing again but as I had replaced the fuel tank, filler neck, and all fuel lines, and fitted another new pump she had been running fine. The RAC brought me back and after a fiddle said that it wasn't a fuel problem and that I had no spark, and advised it was either the coil or the ignition amp.

I have checked the wiring connections are clean, checked the fuses, replaced the coil and the ignition amp with new Brickwerks items, but still no spark either at the plug or from the coil. :(

Any ideas...

That diagram has got a 12v LED as the test bulb. I really should have put that on the original.

My money is on the ignition amp. They are cheap and easy to fit.
