t25 leisure battery flat and not charging

Post by definitely widget »

hello there. we are new to the site, and have purchased a t25 devon camper. we love it , but have no clue as to where we can purchase a new battery. She did a good run last weekend but when we parked up for the night, we had no power coming from the leisure battery. a friend did take a look but was unsure if it was needing to be replaced or not. The pump for the sink was not on, neither the fridge or lights. I would appreciate any advice. The battery is located under the passenger seat. Not sure of the make.

thanks :run

Have you tried charging it up at home? If so what voltage is it showing when you test it?

Have you checked any fuses that are involved with the items?
The fridge foes NOT run on battery when the engine has stopped.
The fridge runs on gas when you are parked....or mains if you have a three way type.
When the engine is running there should be around 13.8 volts at the terminals of the leisure battery.
You'll need a meter to check that.

hi there. thanks for the replies. we need to find someone who knows what they are doing, as we have no mechanical knowledge about t25 campers at all. I will ask a neighbour who is a mechanic to take a look over the weekend.

If you tell us roughly where you are it is by no means unknown for a knowledgeable member on here to come and point out what’s what.

If you are less than 20 miles from me, I will :)
