I thought you might say that Dan , and a big chunk of the reason why I went looking for a standard one as well. It might be one of those cases where old used parts are better than new "upgraded" ones

Have you tried contacting the manufacturer, Remtec in South Africa ?

Is there a reason why you don't want to use the CB performance pumps I mentioned?

The one temp fitted in my build thread to check the cam bolt clearances is a maxi 1 pump. They do a 3 which is designed to work with an extra cooler too. This one I have seems to be of good quality and I haven't heard any bad reviews Got mine from coolair but they are probably sold other places too

Finally got the crankshaft and cases back.

The crank mains have been reground to +0.25.

I asked the engine shop to check the cases to see if they needed to be align bored, which they said they didn't.
Although i should trust their judgement, im a little concerned by this:

You can just feel a slight ridge on the rear main in the cases:

Also is this just the way the case is machined? or is it worn by the crank?
