If not , dating Certificates are painfully slow since the office went down to one lady working there now (anywhere between six and nine months have been quoted on forums of late). Me mate has been waiting since September last year for his
Thanks peeps will pm you 937. It is 1987 crewcab from Lithuania I have Lithuania log book this tally with stamped chassis number. I believe was originally t25 water cooled petrol but has had diesel 1.6 jp engine fitted. I have an aef 1.9 engine to fit soon but just wanna get it on road asap and start driving it.
Submitted an Estonian 'logbook' to DVLA that had chassis number/initial registration date on it, in Estonian (not translated) and they accepted it no problem
If you have the Lithuanian registration document then the route suggested by Elvis is the way to go, the dating is only necessary to prove the age and get the right age letter /numbers. As the vehicle is over 10 years old you also have an exeption from type approval [https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-approval/ex ... ification/. This process is becoming a world of paid for classic vehicle restorers

1990 RHD 1.9 Auto Sleeper with DF/DG engine
I am trying to do the same with a Dutch vehicle at the moment. I wrote to VW UK and a very nice lady was able to send me a date certificate for free based on quoting my VIN to them. Very quick and easy. type.approval@vwg.co.uk
As others have said there is no need for certificate of conformity or type approval due to age.

I wouldn't worry too much about how Volkswagen's IT department have set up their domain names although I did think it was a bit strange not just using @vw.co.uk or similar. I think @vwg.co.uk must be across the Volkswagen Group and that that team handles all Audi, Skoda etc. The details came from the VW FAQ site. Unfortunately, if your vehicle is older than 1982 and has the older VIN style then you have to go through the museum which takes longer and costs more.
