Front Side lights & Horn n/w

Post by T25DEN »

Hello....
I have a T25 1987 lefty crewcab pickup that started life as a petrol watercooled, now a diesel..... (not converted by me, vehicle has come from Lithuania)
Side lights on front n/w.... have changed bulbs.... new rhd headlamps just fitted.... rears working fine when switch is in sidelight position! dip beam works and so does main beam.... Any ideas? ( haven't checked for voltage at bulb as yet but suspect there wont be any lol)

Also horn not working?.... ive pulled the horn button out of the steering wheel revealing the two black wires into the horn. Earth wire has no loss of resistance when checked with multimeter, but live wire is only receiving 1.2volts ???

Also reversing lights not working.

I do not have cover for fuse box to tell me what fuse is for what.....

Any help/advise is appreciated..... need to mot asap so I can apply to register in uk

Cheers Den :?

Fitst thing you'll need to do is clean the earth crowns up under the dash. Without doing that, you could be chasing your own tail. They are prone to corrode and create dead circuits.

Cheers Covkid I removed the fuse box yesturday and noticed I think two earth crowns, however they looked almost new... but I will remove each earth and clean them as they could be corroded under the connectors!
