I'm replacing Audi S3 alloys with 14 inch steels with standard tyres. There are spacers front and back approx 10mm wide. Do these spacers need to be removed or is it better to leave them on? Will the studs need to be replaced with standard studs? I have a couple of photos if this would help.
(I appreciate that there is a lot of technical info in the wiki, but going back to standard wheels is not covered. Also only just noted the advice in various posts that 15inch steels might have been a better choice, but the die is cast!).
Advice would be very much appreciated.

It depends how much thread you have exposed once the steels are fitted. You can shorten the studs with a hacksaw also. You may find that you cannot get the full torque on your nuts with some extended studs.

Thanks. Hadn't considered that aspect.
What are the pros and cons of leaving the spacers on?
